HALAL DEFINITION

Halal is an Islamic concept that states that a product is safe, suitable, and in accordance with Islamic law, from the selection of raw materials, through the production process, storage, distribution, and presentation.

Halal Certificate

A halal certificate is an official document certifying that a product meets Islamic sharia requirements and is declared halal by the Halal Product Guarantee Organizing Agency (BPJPH) based on a fatwa from the Indonesian Ulama Council (MUI).

  • Undang-undang nomor 33 tahun 2014 concerning Halal Product Assurance
  • Undang-undang nomor 11 tahun 2020 concerning Cipta Kerja (Job Creation)
  • Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 42 tahun 2024, every business actor that produces, imports, or trades products in Indonesia is required to have a Halal Certificate.

Halal Inspection Institution (LPH). This process ensures that the product meets all halal requirements according to Islamic law.
